WooCommerce integration
Connect one WooCommerce store to separate customer and staff assistants. Retrieval is read-only: agents cannot cancel/refund orders or change stock. WooCommerce must be installed; plain WordPress has no WooCommerce orders or products.
Connect and configure
- In WordPress, open WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API, create a key for a user with product/order access and select Read permission.
- As an AtomicX Owner/Admin, open WooCommerce settings. Enter the public HTTPS store address (including its installation folder), consumer key and secret, then click Connect WooCommerce.
- Check Public catalog, Staff products and Orders. Test connection confirms retrieval; it does not prove the key lacks write permission. Keep credentials out of chat.
- Configure AtomicX email delivery for order verification.
- Click Create or open agent drafts, review both agents and publish them. Existing edits are preserved.
- Select your Customer chat configuration and click Use published customer agent. If the workflow's AI Chat node overrides the agent, select this same customer agent there. Start a new conversation after changing providers.
- Under Staff access, enable the active members who should see store-wide order information. Use the private staff chat; the staff agent cannot run in the public widget.
Compatibility and troubleshooting
Customer product results exclude hidden, unpublished and password-protected products. The Store API must provide password-protection metadata; update WooCommerce if the connection reports an unsupported Store API. A firewall or security plugin may block the public or merchant APIs. Missing staff product currency permission leaves prices unknown.
Default numeric WooCommerce order numbers are supported. Custom numbering plugins, WordPress customer login and shipment-tracking extensions are not supported in this release. A completed order is not necessarily delivered. Displayed prices do not calculate personalized checkout adjustments.
Disconnect stops retrieval and clears customer access. Revoke the key in WordPress separately. Reconnecting requires customers to verify again.
