Welcome to AtomicX Chat
Overview
AtomicX Chat puts an AI chat assistant on your website. It answers visitor questions from your own content, and it can collect contact details, book appointments, and hand a conversation to a person on your team when needed. You build and manage everything in the Admin console.
The main building blocks are:
- Chat widget. The chat window your visitors see. Each widget is a configuration with its own title, welcome message, colours, and position.
- Workflows. A visual flow that decides what the chat does: greet, ask questions, answer with AI, or pass to a human.
- Knowledge bases. The documents and web pages the AI uses to answer questions.
- AI agents. Personas that set the tone and focus of AI answers.
- Improvements. Review conversation evidence, evaluate proposed changes and publish approved releases. See Improve your chat.
- Conversations. Every chat, which you can review, monitor live, or take over.
- Channels, calendar, and integrations. Optional extras, such as Slack, appointment booking, and property-management systems.
Some sidebar sections, such as AI, Integrations, and Calendar, only show up when your plan includes them.
Steps
If you added your website when you signed up
After you confirm your email address, you're signed in and taken to setup. See Sign up and activate your account. If you entered a website address when you created your account, AtomicX Chat scans the site for you. The Setting up your account screen shows each stage: Connecting to your website, Crawling pages, Extracting brand colours & logo, Building your knowledge base, and Creating your chat widget.
When the scan is done, you land on Customise your chat widget. Your logo, colours, chat title, and welcome message are filled in from your site, with a live preview beside them. Change anything you like, then click Finish setup, or click Skip for now to go straight to the dashboard.
If the scan fails, click Try again, or click Skip — set up manually and set things up yourself.
If you didn't enter a website, you go straight to Customise your chat widget and start from the default look. Until you click Finish setup or Skip for now, the account Owner is brought back to setup after signing in.

Tips
- Click Help in the sidebar at any time to open the help center in a new tab.
- Start with one widget and one workflow. Once the basics work, add more.
- Keep your knowledge base up to date. The AI can only answer well from content it has.
