Account settings and branding

Overview

There are two settings pages at the bottom of the sidebar:

  • Settings holds your personal profile, your password and security, your team (Owners and Admins only), your integrations, and your notification preferences. You can also open it by clicking Profile settings in your user menu.
  • Branding controls how your main chat widget looks: logo, brand colours, chat title, and welcome message. Only Owners and Admins can open it.

Steps

Update your profile

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar. The Account tab opens.
  2. Under Profile Information, edit First Name, Last Name, Email, and Phone. First name, last name, and email are required.
  3. To change your picture, click the camera button on your avatar under Profile Picture. You can upload a JPG, PNG, or GIF of up to 5 MB.
  4. Click Save profile. You can also use Save All at the top of the page, or Reset Changes to undo edits you haven't saved.

Choose your email notifications

  1. In Settings, open the Notifications tab.
  2. Under Notification Preferences, switch New Conversations on or off.
  3. Click Save All at the top of the page.

This preference is saved for you only, so each team member can choose their own. When New Conversations is on, you receive the transcript email each time a conversation completes, as long as your address is one of the Destination email addresses in a widget configuration. When it's off, those transcript emails stop coming to you, while other recipients still get them.

Change your password

  1. On the Account tab, find Security and click Change next to Change Password.
  2. Enter your Current Password, then your New Password and Confirm New Password.
  3. Click Change Password.

Turn on two-factor authentication

  1. Under Security, click Enable next to Two-Factor Authentication.
  2. Step 1: Scan QR Code. Scan the code with an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Authy.
  3. Step 2: Enter Manual Key (Optional). If you can't scan the code, type the key shown into your app.
  4. Step 3: Verify Setup. Enter the 6-digit code from your app, then click Enable 2FA.

To turn it off later, click Disable.

Sign out the mobile app on a device

  1. Open Settings and find Signed-in devices under Security.
  2. Each phone signed in to the AtomicX mobile app is listed with when it was last used.
  3. Click Sign out next to a device. The app on that phone returns to the sign-in screen and stops receiving notifications.

Set your branding

  1. Click Branding in the sidebar.
  2. Under Logo, paste a link to your logo image in Logo URL.
  3. Under Brand colours, pick a Primary colour, a Secondary colour, and an Accent colour.
  4. Under Chat copy, enter a Chat title and a Welcome message (up to 200 characters).
  5. Watch the Live preview on the right. It shows the widget the way your visitors will see it.
  6. Click Save branding. You'll see "Branding saved successfully."

Branding is applied to your default chat configuration. To style any other widgets you've created, edit them under Chat → Configurations.

Re-scan your website

AtomicX Chat can read your website again to refresh your logo and colours, and optionally your knowledge base.

  1. On the Branding page, check the Website URL under Website.
  2. Click Re-scan.
  3. If a knowledge base built from your website already exists, you'll be asked Update your knowledge base?
    • Choose Update knowledge base to rebuild it from your site's current content.
    • Choose Keep existing to refresh only your logo and colours.
  4. Wait while the scan runs. When it's done, you return to the Branding page.

Tips

  • Use a logo with a transparent background so it looks good in the chat header.
  • Pick a primary colour with good contrast against white text, so the chat header stays easy to read.
  • Re-scan after a big website update so the AI answers from your latest content.
  • If you stop receiving transcript emails, check that New Conversations is switched on in the Notifications tab.
  • The Integrations tab under Settings lists services you can connect. See Integrations overview.
